This documentary explores the fate of the endangered wild Suffield horses of Alberta. Located near a military base close to Medicine Hat, these animals were originally domesticated but returned to the wild over generations. These horses face endangerment because of their growing numbers and the limitations of their environment.http://nfb.ca/film/Horses_of_Suffield/

I've read and heard about the fate of the wild mustangs in Western USA. Horses should be on the endangered list like the Bald Eagle is. The Horse has more to do with the USA and the whole of North America than other species. Horses are our partners and have been our partners in the settling of America.
